In the Yonex All England fixture that took place earlier today, Malaysia’s womens’ doubles team had to bid farewell to their All England campaign.
Malaysian duo Vivian Hoo-Woon Khe Wei were on to a promising start as they dominated the first round 17-21. However, they failed to keep that momentum going as Korea’s Jung Kyung Eun and Shin Seung Chan retaliated and defeated them in the next two rounds.
However, Malaysia’s mixed doubles pair Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying successfully made it through to the next round. They were defeated in the first round by China’s Zhang Nan and Li Yinhui 9-21. However, the pair bounced back and fought relentlessly in the subsequent two rounds as they sent the Chinese duo packing with 23-21 and 21-17.
