Catalunya has been voted as this year’s most entertaining MotoGP race, by crash.net.
The same circuit was rated the most boring of the season last year, with an average score of just 3.7 out of 10. However this year’s stunning race between Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo saw it shoot up to 9.3.
The season-opening Qatar race raised its average from 8.9 to 9.1 to repeat its second place, tied with the incident-packed Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.
Rossi’s other victory of this season, in front of his home fans at Misano, was joint fourth with the Italian Grand Prix, where team-mate Lorenzo pushed Marquez all the way to the line. Both events scored an average of 8.9.
The Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno, where Marquez’s perfect ten-race win streak came to an end, was ranked a midway ninth with 7.5.
At the bottom of the table, Assen sunk from first to 15th with an average score of just 6.0, putting it just ahead of the Spanish round at Jerez. The Sachsenring scored a low 4.6, with Texas dropping from 14th to last with a score of 3.9.
