Moto2 racer Ramdan Rosli suffers fall in Catalunya

National Moto2 racer, Mohd Ramdan Rosli had failed to end his race in the Moto2 European Championship as he fell off his motorcycle during the race yesterday that was held in the Circuit de Catalunya, Spain.

Racing for Petronas AHM Malaysia, Ramdan start from the third grid without fault but unfortunately fell in the first corner of the second lap.

“The motorcycle was in good form during the main race after battling a few technical issues in the qualifying race. I tried to catch up with the rider in front of me but I lost control and fell,” said Ramdan as quoted from Utusan.

“We should have had a better finish. I apologize for disappointing the team and the fans. I will do my best and make better preparations in the upcoming race in Aragon,” he added.

Meanwhile, manager of Petronas AHM Malaysia, Kenny Chua claimed that Ramdan had showed his best effort in the race yesterday.

“Ramdan’s confidence had increased. The team did their job by giving Ramdan much more competitive mechanics.”

“Unfortunately, luck was not on our side. Our main focus now is the race in Aragon and hopefully things will be better there.”

The race ended with Edgar Pons of SPA-Kalex clinching the ultimate victory with a record of 30m 35.030s, followed by Luca Marini and Alan Techer who made it in 30m 42.958s and 30m 46.209s respectively.
