Kedah fan to run 435 kilometre route after Malaysia Cup final

An senior Kedah fan has announced that he would be running from the Shah Alam Stadium to the Darul Aman Stadium, right after the Malaysia Cup this weekend.

60 year-old Nasir Abas, who hails from Kedah, is determined to complete the run as a tribute to the Canaries, who will be facing Selangor in the final. And he will be running, irrespective of the final result.

“I’m sure the Kedah players will be showcasing tremendous commitment this weekend,” he told Harian Metro.

The 435 kilometre route will take approximately 10 days to complete and according to Nasir, a car will be accompanying him throughout the run.

In case you’re wondering if Nasir is over-ambitious, he is widely known for his running exploits all over the country. In 2002, Nasir etched himself into the Malaysian Book of Records for running a total of 1,754 kilometres throughout Malaysia.

One year later, Nasir completed a total of 2,068 kilometres by running from Tawau to Kuching.
