Felda determined to end Kelantan’s winning streak

Felda United goalkeeper Farizal Harun is completely aware that Kelantan will head into tonight’s clash as favourites, based on their current run of form.

The Red Warriors have been on a roll in recent times, winning three of their last four games, to move away from the relegation zone. The departure of Azraai Khor seems to have coincided with a mini revival in Kota Bharu, but Farizal claims that the Settlers are focused on ending that streak tonight.

“I’ll admit that we will be required to be careful based on Kelantan’s recent record. But I’ll also reiterate that we have no intentions of dropping points at home, tonight,” he told Harian Metro.

“We can’t afford to drop points and be left further behind by teams higher than us on the table, especially since the league is coming to an end soon,” he added.

Felda are currently sixth on the table, after their defeat against LionsXII last weekend, forced them to remain on 25 points. But as far as Farizal is concerned, tonight’s clash is the perfect opportunity to bounce back.

“We could have beaten LionsXII the other day, but we found it difficult to cope on the artificial turf. Either way, we’ve got to bounce back against Kelantan.”
