B. Sathianathan counting on imports to bolster FELDA’s attack ahead of Pahang clash

FELDA United will be hosting Pahang at the Stadium Tun Abdul Razak in Jengka this Saturday (1st July) as the second half of the Malaysia Super League season resumes.

Currently perched at 6th place with 17 points on the Super League table, The Fighters are determined to catch up with the race to the top.

In fact, FELDA’s head coach B. Sathianathan confessed that he has set his target to finish Top 4 this season.

Armed with six new signings during the transfer window, namely Dino Djulbic, Ifedayo Olusegun Patrick Omosuyi, K. Prabakaran, Safwan Hashim, Thiago Augusto, and Curran Ferns, FELDA United are ready to transform their game play for the remaining of the season.

“I hope the second half of the season will be better for us. I hope it won’t be like the first half of the season where we conceded a lot of goals.” B. Sathianathan told Stadium Astro.

He also hopes that his new signings will boost the team’s performance and give Pahang a good fight when they meet at home.

“And with the arrival of Thiago Augusto, I’m positive that our attacking force will be much more lethal.”

With rejuvenated optimism and enthusiasm, B. Sathianathan is also determined to make it to the the Malaysia Cup final, since they missed out on the FA Cup.

“Of course I want to make it to the Malaysia Cup final.” the coach said. “In my five years of coaching, I have brought my team to the final at least four times. And I can make it happen again.”
