“I am delighted to be working with the new head coach (Nelo Vingada) and is truly blessed to be working with the national set-up,” Tan Cheng Hoe said as quoted by Harian Metro.

“I have had several discussions with Mr. Vingada in regards to the national team’s plans.

This will not be Tan Cheng Hoe’s first rodeo as assistant coach of the national team. He assisted Datuk K. Rajagopal in clinching the AFF Suzuki Cup trophy in 2010. A year earlier, the duo helped Malaysia to a gold medal in the SEA Games after defeating Vietnam 1-0.
