#Dota2: Malaysians, here’s your chance to compete at ESL One Genting!

It goes without saying that every Dota2 player dreams of playing against the biggest teams on the planet, and ESL One Genting is prepared to make that dream come true for one Malaysian team!

Fnatic is widely regarded as a Malaysian ‘representative’ but ESL One Genting has allocated one additional slot for another Malaysian team and it will be filled by any team that wins the qualifiers that are scheduled to take place over the next few weeks. All you need to do is ensure that your team has a minimum of three Malaysian players, and you’re good to go!

The Digi ESL One Genting Qualifiers will be separated into two phases. In phase one, teams will be competing within three separate regions across Malaysia – Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak. Peninsular Malaysia will host four offline qualifiers while Sabah and Sarawak will both host one online qualifier each.

13 of the best teams from these three qualifiers will then advance into Phase 2, where they’ll be mixing it up with three other invited teams (undisclosed as of now) to battle for the coveted ESL One Genting slot.

Phase 2 will take place at the Mineski eSports Arena on the 17th and 18th of December. All 16 teams will first compete in a GSL Group Stage format, before moving into Double Elimination in the knockout rounds.
