Guess who’s back, back again. This summer’s biggest transfer saga has finally concluded with Paul Pogba signing for Manchester United, a mammoth deal costing the Red Devils a whopping £89 million, excluding additional payments such as agent fee.
The French midfielder is now officially the world’s most expensive player, beating the likes of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo. The footballing world is astonished with the transfer, considering Pogba went to Turin as a teen for only £800,000, but United fans won’t care as their prodigal son returns.
Pogba matured as a player at Juventus and he played an integral part in setting up his side as the dominant force in Serie A, winning four Scudettos consecutively. The Old Lady was clearly appreciative of his efforts as they posted a video chronicling the 23-year-old’s greatest moments in the club, following the confirmation of the deal.
The United faithful will have plenty to look forward to if Pogba can replicate his dynamic play at the Premier League.
