Selangor skipper, Mohd Shahrom Kalam is hoping the transfer saga involving his teammate, Mohd Azrif Nasrulhaq with the Football Association of Selangor (FAS) can be resolved immediately to prevent any disruptions on the team’s preparation for the 2nd half of the Malaysia Super League.
According to Shahrom, he had a long conversation with Azrif and has given him advice as he hoped the defender will stay at the club for the remainder of this season.
“Personally, I assumed conflicts such as this is due to an individual’s desires. Even though he (Azrif) know what’s ahead after this, I still hope that he’ll make a better decision.”
“He is still young and he needs guidance from the senior players. If it’s possible, I would like him to stay as he is one of the core players in our squad,” he said.
The national team defender has appealed twice in six months to his parent club after doing the same thing in the beginning of the year.
The 25-year-old player had to make a U-turn and delay his targeted move at that time.
The Football Association of Johor (PBNJ) have confirmed that negotiations are being made to secure Azrif’s services in the current transfer window, that will be open until July 15.
