Who needs Hariss Harun, Safiq Rahim or Nazmi Faiz in midfield when you’ve got Liridon Krasniqi?
The Kosovan powerhouse constantly proved to be a nuisance to Selangor’s tactics during the sixth Malaysia Super League (MSL) match of the season at the Selayang Stadium earlier tonight.
Selangor was held to a 2-2 draw courtesy of goals from R. Gopinathan and Patrick Ronaldinho Wleh for the Red Giants whereas Syazwan Zainul and a Sandro da Silva penalty got the goals for the Red Hawks.
Despite not being on the scoresheet tonight, the former Ankaraspor player played the entire 90 minutes wholeheartedly and dictated the tempo throughout the tie. Liridon Krasniqi played a number of delicious through balls to the flanks, one-two’s with Sandro and Carlos Kahe and won the aerial battle in midfield to allow his team to break for counter-attacks.
Liridon Krasniqi played a part in Kedah’s first goal when he delivered a key pass to allow his right back to cross the ball in for Syazwan Zainul to tap it in past Norazlan Razali in goal. He also performed a smart dummy to allow Carlos Kahe the ball, who was eventually fouled to give his team a penalty.
An honourable mention to Selangor’s Andik Vermansyah who produced fast-paced runs, a number of one-on-one take ons and delicious crosses into the penalty box. The Selangor team conceded an early goal but Andik Vermansyah inspired his team to a comeback by continuing to rile up the home fans. The No. 7 also helped out in tremendously in defence as he tracked back and helped his team produce a couple of counter-attacks.
Tan Cheng Hoe will be extremely satisfied with his team for not giving up and earning a valuable point that puts them above Kelantan in the MSL standings, after Datuk Seri Vida’s team were defeated by T-Team.
