VIDEO: Fernando Conceição scores 80-yard solo goal vs Guangzhou Evergrande

“Run baby run, don’t ever look back.”

The Boys Like Girls song was probably playing in Fernando Conceição’s head when he scored his first goal in Chongqing Lifan’s 2-1 win over Guangzhou Evergrande yesterday.

The 22 year-old Brazilian, simply known as Fernandinho, picked up possession on the edge of his penalty box, before bursting 80 yards forward to score an incredible solo goal against Chinese goalkeeper Zeng Cheng. He managed to regain his side’s lead in the second half after scoring another solo goal, this time from the halfway line.

The forward’s double helped his side kick off the Chinese Super League (CSL) with a win.
