The former England captain reached out to 19-year old Chloe Hopkins, who has been suffering from Cystic Fibrosis since she was ten days old.
Chloe has been on the list for a double lung transplant July 2015 and has set up a Go Fund Me campaign, Chloe’s Journey to Lung Transplant.
She was given two years to live and wrote in her bucket list that it would be a dream to meet all of Manchester United’s players.
“I’d love to meet the United players. It’s one of the best things that could ever happen to me. I never miss watching a game and I’d love a season ticket, but because of the endless flights of stairs, I can no longer attend the matches. My life would feel complete if I met them.”
The word got across to Manchester United legend David Beckham, so he decided to record a heartfelt video message to the terminally ill supporter.
