Exclusive: Bengaluru are dangerous from set-pieces – Junior Eldstal

Johor DT defender Junior Eldstal believes that they must avoid from conceding too many set-pieces against Bengaluru when they face each other in the Asian Champions League qualifiers today.

The Malaysian international claimed that their Indian counterparts will be strong in set-piece situations, especially with Sunil Chetri leading their line; precisely why they will need to remained focused throughout the 90 minutes and not give away too many fouls.

“I think it’ll be key for us to focus on all areas and make sure we back each other. I know they are strong in set-pieces, so it’s key for us to not give away any silly fouls, which will give them an opportunity to use their height,” he told FourthOfficial.com exclusively.

The Southern Tigers will be heading into the affair on the back of an impressive victory over Pahang last weekend. A win tonight, will take them into the second round of the ACL qualifiers, and Junior claimed that everyone in the squad is determined to make it happen tonight.

“The mood within the dressing room is good and everyone is happy. We are more than excited to start our Champions League campaign,” he said.

“It will be incredibly hard, but we have an incredible amount of self-belief within the team. We will take it game by game and everything is possible in football.”
