Daniil Kvyat will not struggle in Red Bull, says former boss

Franz Tost, who is the former boss of Daniil Kvyat, believes that the 20 year-old will not have any difficulties in coping with the move to Red Bull, despite it being his second year in the sport.

Kvyat was moved up the ranks from Toro Rosso to Red Bull right after the departure of Sebastian Vettel, and he will be partnering Daniel Ricciardo, who was incredibly impressive last season.

Doubts were predictably raised about his ability to cope with the pressure of doing well in a solid team but as far as his former Toro Rosso boss is concerned, Kvyat has what it takes to do well with Red Bull.

“But that’s the situation and with his talent and working attitude he will do a good job with Red Bull Racing, as he did with us.” he told Autosport.

“No one expected that after winning the GP3 title he would come into Formula 1 and score points in the first race.”

“He will put on the same good performance at Red Bull Racing.”
