Frank Lampard who was due to officially become a New York City FC player today has turned down the deal to extend his stay with Manchester City.
The former Chelsea and England international was to be unveiled for the newly formed MLS franchise on the 1st of January 2015!
However, he has decided to stay at Manchester City until the end of the current Barclays Premier League season, missing the start of New York’s inaugural MLS campaign.
This has caused the fans from the United States to have a go at both the player and Manchester City.

If you bought a season ticket for New York City just to watch Frank Lampard then you did it for the wrong reason and deserve what you get.

Despite the 31 year old’s short spell, his performances for the Sky Blues has been tremendous, nailing six goals in 17 leagues and cup appearances.
