Twitter explodes as Leicester claim 2-1 win over Chelsea

Amazing. Absolutely amazing.

When Leicester City started blooming from a club that was rock bottom, nobody believed that the Foxes would be able to deliver consistency.

Well what do you know, Leicester had managed yet another triumph, this time over last season’s title holders Chelsea to bring Claudio Ranieri’s side to the top of the League’s standings with 35 points, two points ahead of Arsenal.

As always, Jamie Vardy worked his magic in the game and the striker scored the opening goal in the 34th minute, before having Riyad Mahrez widening the gap with another goal in the 48th minute. Just when Chelsea thought they were doomed, Frenchman Loïc Rémy managed to contribute a goal in the 77th minute but that was all there was from Jose Mourinho’s men.

The Blues were definitely in the blue after their disheartening defeat and currently stand at 16th in the standings. So close to relegation!

Also, Twitter certainly isn’t left behind in the outcomes of the match. Chelsea and Leicester had topped the trends ever since the match started.
