Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin revealed that hooligans could potentially be blacklisted and banned from entering football stadiums in future.
He made that comment in response towards the incident that took place during Malaysia’s World Cup Qualifying tie against Saudi Arabia last month, where the game was abandoned on the 88th minute, after flares were lit up on the stands.
FAM and the Ministry of Youth and Sports have been trying to work collectively in formulating a solution and as of now, this appears to be a feasible idea,” he told Utusan Malaysia.
“Any fans who have a record of creating trouble will be banned from entering stadiums. This is something that FAM and PDRM will work on in the near future,” he added.
