Sapura coach Tai Beng Hai admits that his side will be facing a tough task when they face Kuala Lumpur Hockey Club (KLHC) in the semi-final of the 2015 TNB Cup.
Prior to that, Sapura was seen conserving their players during the second leg of the quarter final tie against Kuala Lumpur University (UniKL), which they got through courtesy of a 5-3 aggregate win.
“It’s true that we were forced to rest few players ahead of two crunch matches against this season’s league runner ups KLHC,” he told Arena Metro.
“Clearly, KLHC have a steady line up of players, making them a hard opponent to face. That’s why we have put extra attention in the semi-final matches, because we also have players who are of the same caliber.”
Meanwhile Sapura import player Mohamed Imran said, he is familiar with the strategy and game play of KLHC, after playing for them in the 2012, 2013 season.
“Teamwork is the key factor here. It doesn’t matter who scores the goal, what’s important is we have to win,” said the Pakistan born player.
The semi-final first leg between Sapura and KLHC will take place later today, with the second leg continuing on Thursday.
