Remember Ricardo Quaresma?
Once upon a time, he was tipped to be the next big thing in football, and judging by his early-age potential, you would have agreed as well. He was quick, skillful and had a fantastic eye for goal.
Unfortunately though, things didn’t turn out quite well for the Portuguese winger. He had stints with some of the biggest clubs in the world, including Inter Milan, Chelsea and even Barcelona, though he ultimately struggled to live up to his potential.
The 31 year-old currently plies his trade in Turkey, with Besiktas. But while he’s no longer the world beater he was once tipped to be, Quaresma still occassionally displays bits and pieces of skills that once made him the hottest property in Europe. This weekend, he scored an astonishing goal Besiktas’ match against Trabzonspor.
