Malaysian contingent shines at World Tang Soo Doo Championship

Malaysia’s Tang Soo Doo contingent collected 4 gold medals, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals at the Tang Soo Doo World Championships in United States, matching their achievement two years ago.

Ong Yun Hui won two gold medals through the Gred 2 women’s individual formation and individual formation “Women’s Open Weapon” event, while the two other gold medals were contributed by Chong Poh Yoke (women’s above 45 individual formation) and Tock Jing Ling (Gred 3 women’s individual fomasi).

Yun Hui also added the bronze medal to her collection, through the women’s free sparring lightweight category. Lee Shen Wey, on the other hand, took home two silver medals from his dagger formation event and individual lightweight free sparring.

Besides that, the national squad were also honoured as the Grand Champion through the women’s Open Weapon formation event.

Head coach Master Ching said that they will be determined to maintain the accomplishment in the next World Championships, which will take place two years from now.
