Low Wee Wern: I want to be the World No. 1 in five years

Malaysian athlete Low Wee Wern is confident on her ability of being the number one squash player in the world and claim the world champion title in the next five years.

The 25 year-old Penangite, who suffered a nasty ligament injury last April, has now recovered and ready for local competitions as well as the Hong Kong Open and the World Championships this December.

“Being back on the court is a huge step for me. In the beginning, the doctor refused to let me play again till next year but now I’ve recovered enough.”

“My target now is to continue playing without any pain, besides hoping to be fit again as usual.”

“Everyone wants to see the new Nicol (David). I think all local players are on the right track towards that aim, including me” she told Berita Harian.
