Stephen to replace the Beng Hai as national hockey team boss?

Stephen van Huizen is reportedly on the brink of being appointed as the head coach of the senior men’s hockey team, replacing Tai Beng Hai.

According to reports, the Malaysia Hockey Confederation (MHC) has already lined up coaching alternatives all over the park, even though it continues to deny it.

Chief Executive Officer of MHC, K Logan Raj said that a decision hasn’t been made, especially from the Coaching Committee regarding the appointment of new coaches.

“Honestly, I have no clue about this issue. There has not been any decision made nor any contact with the replacement coaches,” he told Harian Metro.

“All I can say now is everything will be solved during the MHC Executive Board meeting on August 15th.”

Former men’s senior coach, Muhammad Dhaarma Raj Abdullah, is expected to take over from Mohd Nasihin Nubli Ibrahim as the women’s head coach.

Meanwhile, Arul Selvaraj and Lailin Abu Hassan will remain as the coach of the junior men’s team and women’s team respectively.
