Perak coach Datuk M Karathu has nothing against his players for celebrating Hari Raya, but hopes that his players do not neglect both their health and fitness levels during the festive celebrations.
Perak faces a string of tough fixtures in their remaining seven games in the league, as Johore Darul Ta’zim, Terengganu, Selangor, FELDA United and PDRM are among the teams that they will face.
“As much as I sincerely hope that they enjoy their festive season with their families, I also hope that they do not neglect their health and fitness levels.” He said, as quoted by Harian Metro.
“The players will report back for training before playing our remaining 7 matches.”
Karathu understands that the remaining fixtures will be tough, but understands that his players will have to transcend themselves as that is what it takes to be champions.
“Obviously we face an uphill task but I hope that my players will rise up to meet the challenge, but that’s the task that they face if they want to emerge as champions
“We are in a good position to win the league and we need to keep pushing on to compete with the rest.” He concluded.
Perak lies third in the Malaysia Super League, six points behind the first team, Pahang.
