Selangor defender Rizal Fahmi has urged his teammates to keep their good run of form flowing when they take on LionsXII this weekend.
The Red Giants endured a difficult start to the season, but they have been relatively consistent in recent weeks, winning their last four Super League games to top the Super League table with 14 points.
But things could change immediately should they drop points against LionsXII on Saturday night, and Rizal is definitely not willing to entertain that possibility.
“LionsXII are a hardworking team and they always love spreading the ball around the pitch,” he told Harian Metro.
“As as the home team, we’ll need to buck up and perform to our level best on Saturday. The coach’s instructions must be executed to perfection, if we are to stand any chance of winning. Obviously the pressure is there, now that we’re on top of the table,” he added.
The Red Giants have been handed a major boost ahead of this game, with skipper Shahrom Kalam set to return having recovered from his injury.
