Karathu impressed with foreign trialists

Perak FA’s Datuk M. Karathu is not a man who gets easily impressed by players, but the experienced head coach is certainly excited by what he’s seen from some of the foreign trialists that are in Ipoh as of now.

The Seladangs have had a decent start to the season thus far, but Karathu has been incredibly vocal about his displeasure towards two of their foreign players; Chad Souza and Marco Tulio.

Both men are on the brink of being replaced by new names, and five individuals are currently contesting for those spots in Ipoh. And while Karathu has been impressed with them thus far, he’s keen on evaluating their performance when they take on ATM in a friendly match on Friday night.

“As of now, they definitely look terrific, especially in training and during the friendly match against TLDM recently,” he told Harian Metro.

“But what’s important is that they do the same against ATM on Friday night. That will be the best platform for them to prove themselves. Three out of these five players have shown traits that I usually look for, but I will not be rushed into making this decision,” he added.

While the identity of these foreigners have not been revealed, speculations suggests that players from Hungary and the Caribbean are involved in the mix.
