Former NBA player Carl Herrera has reportedly been shot and was wounded during an apparent robbery attempt in Venezuela.
The shooting was said to have occurred over the weekend at a restaurant on Margarita Island.
According to a Venezuelan newspaper, Herrera is in stable condition at a hospital there.
Herrera was a power forward during the early ’90s for Houston, San Antonio, Vancouver and Denver, scoring more than 2,400 points over a nine-year career.
Now 48, he’s coaching a team in the Venezuelan league.
