Johor DT have officially unveiled their full squad, including all new signings, as the new season of Malaysian football edges closer.
The Southern Tigers, who are the reigning Super League champions, definitely seem like they mean business, acquiring several well entrenched names within the local football scene, to beef their squad, ahead of a campaign in which they will also be contesting in the Asian Champions League.
S. Kunanlan and Farizal Marlias have joined from Selangor, both of whom are currently on national duty for the AFF Suzuki Cup. Junior Eldstal also made the move over from Sarawak, while Fandi Othman and Amer Saidin were snapped up from Harimau Muda A.
All four foreign players in the form of Jorge Diaz, Luciano Figueroa, Marcos Antonio as well as Singaporean midfielder Hariss Harun, have been retained after their excellent displays throughout 2014.
On the offense department, Figueroa and Diaz will be joined by Amri Yahyah and Safee Sali, while Safiq Rahim will continue to lead their midfield.
But the most surprising signing seems to be the late acquisition of Gary Steven Robbat, who was initially earmarked to have joined Malaysia Cup winners, Pahang FA.
After his excellent showing in the AFF Suzuki Cup, we exclusively revealed that Bojan Hodak opted to secure his signature with a bumper offer, and it now seems that the former Harimau Muda midfielder has opted to join the Southern revolution.
