MotoGP rookie Miller undergoes shoulder surgery

MotoGP rookie Jack Miller has undergone an operation, to remove metal screws and a plate from his right shoulder.

The Moto3 runner-up picked up the injury in 2012, but since the initial incident has sustained further damage on two occasions.

Miller, who next year takes the unprecedented step from Moto3 to MotoGP, is expected to be fully fit and back in action again in two week’s time.

The Australian rider had his first taste of the MotoGP machine that he’ll be racing on in 2015, during a three day test session at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia last month.
