Arsenal have been dealt with a massive blow with reports coming out of England suggesting that their midfielder Jack Wilshere will have to be sidelines for approximately 3 months, with his current injury requiring surgery.
The England international was injured in Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Manchester United last weekend, though initial rumours suggested that he would merely be out for weeks rather than months.
However, reports are now circulating around, claiming that Wilshere will be needing ankle ligament surgery to ensure proper recovery and rehabilitation, and that the entire process could take as long as three months.
This puts a massive dent on Arsenal’s hopes of reviving their form, as they struggle at 7th place in the Premier League table. But beyond that, it also represents a terrible news for Wilshere himself, who often spent long periods recovering from injuries on the treatment table.
