FC Zurich have initiated legal actions against FC Aarau’s Sandro Wieser after his brutal tackle on their 32 year-old player, Gilles Yapi-Yapo last weekend.
The 21 year-old has been the subject of heavy criticism over the past 24 hours, after his horrific tackle on Gilles, left him with myriad of injuries, including torn anterior and interior cruciate ligaments, serious cartilage damage and a meniscus tear, which virtually ends his career as well.
Sandro was shown a straight red for his shocking move, and FC Zurich eventually won the game 1-0. However, the Swiss side believe that there was malicious intent within Sandro’s actions, and have decided to take the matter to court.
However, Sandro has since publicly apologized via his Facebook page, claiming that there was never intent on his part and that he regretted the way in which things happened in the match.
