The Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi says only 10 percent of tickets for this month’s Formula One Grand Prix are available for purchase, following record sales this year.
Officials at the circuit say tickets for the Paddock Club, Abu Dhabi hill, Main and West Grandstands have already sold out, with all remaining tickets expected to sell out very soon.
“This year, the appetite for F1 tickets has been unprecedented,” said Al Tareq Al Ameri, the CEO of Yas Marina Circuit.
“As we approach race weekend, there are less than 10 percent left, even with our increase of 5,000 extra tickets for this year. It won’t be much longer until we sell out.”
In addition to the motor-sports action, superstar DJ Armin Van Buuren, along with Pharrell Williams and iconic rockers The Who, are all confirmed to play after-race concerts.
The final Grand Prix of the season saw Yas Marina offering its largest ever allocation of 60,000 tickets, an increase of 5,000 from last year’s sell-out, for the November 21st – 23rd extravaganza.
