Toro Rosso duo urges team to investigate cars’ high fuel consumption

Daniil Kvyat and Jean-Eric Vergne have called on Toro Rosso for answers as to why they had to save fuel heavily, throughout the Russian Grand Prix.

Kvyat says this issue needs to be addressed before the end of the season, as the move to fuel save from the opening laps caused them to drop back in the race despite starting in the top 10 on the grid.

The Russian driver, who dropped from 5th to 14th, admits he was disappointed with his results, as he felt that he lost his place in the race due to having to pit again towards the end.

This sentiment was echoed by his teammate Vergne, who also called on Toro Rosso to investigate its high fuel consumption, as compared to their rivals.
