Suzuki confirms it will make its return to MotoGP in 2015, with Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales as their two riders, led by current test team manager, Davide Brivio.
The Japanese manufacturer also revealed plans to make a wildcard appearance at this season’s final race at the Valencia Circuit, prior to its re-entry next year.
Suzuki temporarily suspended its participation in the sport back in 2012, but has been working strongly on its machine development as it gears back for a return. Its new MotoGP prototype, the GSX-RR, has spent the past two years being developed, and is equipped with a new in-line four-cylinder engine.
Brivio adds that the team is also working a lot on its electronics, having been out of the game for a few years. He noted that this would be among the challenges the team may face, as the electronics in MotoGP have become very sophisticated.
