The former head coach for the Malaysian national football team, B. Sathianathan has been “rested” according to ATM club officials. According to our sources the players were informed earlier in the day that B. Sathianathan will not be involved at the club with regards to their daily itinerary.
The 56-year-old was appointed the coach of ATM FA back in November 2011. Under Sathianathan’s helm, ATM FA won the 2012 Malaysia Premier League, and an automatic promotion to the 2013 Malaysia Super League.
The announcement came after the club suffered back to back defeats against Johor Darul Takzim(2-1) and a home loss against Selangor(1-3).
The defeat at the hands of Selangor meant that they have won just 1 in their current campaign and currently sit in 11th place.
It was stated that due to a poor run of form, Coach Sathia has been replaced by Sharin Majid.
