Perak head coach Datuk M. Karathu is visibly unhappy with the performance of Brazilian forward Chad Souza, claiming that he is already considering the option of acquiring a replacement during the April transfer window.
The ex-PDRM forward struggled against Sime Darby in the first game, before producing yet another shoddy performance against ATM last weekend. He was eventually brought off at half time, much to Coach Karathu’s frustration.
“Chad’s performances are not reaching the expectation we have for him. He needs to drastically improve or we’ll bring in a replacement when the transfer window opens in April,” he told Harian Metro.
“Either way, I’ll have to discuss with the President (Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin) first. As a foreign player, we expect him to be better than our local players. But right now, that doesn’t seem to be the case. That’s precisely why I subbed him off against ATM.”
With Chad struggling to hit solid heights, Perak are only able to depend on two foreigners in the form of Thiago Junior and Namkung Woong for now, as Marco Tulio is still out injured.
