Eight-time world champion Datuk Nicol David has advanced to the semi-finals of the 2015 Windy City Open after overcoming England’s Alison Water.
The Malaysian squash queen, finally got her revenge on Waters, who defeated her in the Tournament of Champions last month, by securing a 12-10. 12-10, 11-7 victory to book her spot in the semis.
She will next take on Egyptian Nour El Tayeb, who trashed fellow Egyptian Nour El Sherbini with a 3-0 straight sets victory as well.
Meanwhile, national number 2 Low Wee Wern was sent packing by Raneem El Weleily. Despite winning the first set 11-9, Wee Wern lost the following three sets 6-11, 3-11, 9-11, to exit the competition.
Raneem will next face France’s Camille Serme in the semis.
