Pahang head coach Zainal Abidin is determined for his men to get their Super League campaign back on track by securing a home win over Selangor tonight.
The War Elephants suffered a 2-0 defeat to Johor DT on Matchday One and having had two weeks of rest and preparation time, Zainal is eager to see his troops learn from their mistakes and make use of their home advantage in Kuantan later today.
“I trust that my players have realized their own weaknesses from the loss to Johor DT,” he told Harian Metro.
“And we’ve been working on them for the past two weeks, so now it’s up to my players to make full use of our home advantage and secure a win tonight.
“At the same time, this is also a chance for us to bounce back from the opening day defeat and finally get our campaign back on track,” he added.
Pahang though, will be without the services of Azamuddin Akil, new signing D. Saarvindran and Saiful Nizam; all of whom are nursing injuries at the moment.
