BAM: Jeremy Gan fears Boon Heong’s departure

National coach Jeremy Gan hopes that the national players including the likes of Tan Boon Heong, will not follow suit with regards to the growing list of players leaving the BAM.

The exodus of Hoon Thien How and Lim Khim Wah has left the men’s doubles side extremely short in players; leaving Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong as the only experienced pair.

And Jeremy Gan is certanly hoping to not lose more experienced names, particularly with important tournaments coming up soon.

“I really hope that he would reconsider his departure because BAM needs him,” Jeremy Gan told Harian Metro.

“We will be facing many tournaments after this especially the Sudirman Cup and his services are much needed.”

The departure of Thien How from the BAM marks the second time that Boon Heong has had to lose a partner within the national set-up.
