Pahang goalkeeper Khairul Azhan believes that his side are prepared to take on Johor DT in the Charity Shield clash that’s scheduled for this weekend.
Both sides will be strutting their stuff at the Larkin Stadium and though the Southern Tigers may possess home advantage in this case, Khairul claims that his side’s experience can be turned into a trump card to triumph on Saturday.
“As of now, we are ready to face Johor DT in the Charity Shield match, even though it seems like they have an advantage of being able to play at home,” he told Harian Metro.
“But with the experience we have as well as the fighting spirit of all our players, victory will definitely be ours.”
Pahang, who are the reigning Charity Shield winners, will also be boosted by the return of Hafiz Kamal, who has effectively recovered from an ankle injury.
