Bowling: Malaysia clinch women’s doubles title in Bangkok

Malaysian bowlers Sin Li Jane and Syaidatul Afifah have clinched the women’s doubles title at the 23rd Asian Tenpin Bowling Championship in Bangkok.

The national elite bowlers gave Malaysia its first gold medal of the competition with a total of 2773 pins to defeat South Korean duo Jung Da-wun and Lee Young-seung, who came in second with 2,633 pins and Jeon Eun Hee and Sun Hee, who came in third with 2,583 pins.

Moreover, Incheon Asian Games singles silver medallist Sin Li Jane moved onto the top of the All Events’ standing in both singles and doubles with 2866 pins in 12 games.

The tournament will continue with the trios event for the men’s category and women’s category and they’ll bowl their first block of three games on the 22nd of January.
