World number one Novak Djokovic has confirmed that he’s fully fit and ready to potentially clinch his fifth Australian Open title.
The seven time Grand Slam winner has been going through a spell of illness, which caused him to miss a practice session and even a news conference on Saturday.
That sparked a social media outcry, with fans concerned about his presence at the tournament. However, the 27 year-old Serbian has officially declared that he’s fit for the tournament and is already relishing the challenge that is awaiting him.
Additionally, he will have one more day to recover before facing Solvenia’s Aljaz Bedene in his first round of the Australian Open on Tuesday. And as usual, on the eve of the Australian Open, Djokovic repeated his little tradition of distributing chocolates to the media during the news conference.
