There was plenty of of banter prior to the game, but the Man City fans were obviously on a higher pedestal, particularly with Arsenal’s dismal record within Manchester in general. But beyond that, there was probably a million other reasons as to why City were massive favourites for this, notwithstanding the fact that Aguero was going to spearhead their attack
But the anti-thesis of that happened! Arsenal secured a sensational victory courtesy of goals from Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud, with the former running the show impeccably in the middle of the park.
Predictably enough, the internet exploded. And we couldn’t help but compile a list for you to laugh and potentially break a chair or two while doing it!

As an Arsenal fan this feels strange. I'm happy, and we've just played a game of football.

The most excellent thing about Arsenal winning is that we won't have to listen to Piers Morgan moaning and groaning. #AFC #PiersMorgan
