World number 2 Roger Federer has reached the coveted 1,000 ATP Tour wins milestone after claiming the Brisbane Open title on Sunday.
The 33 year-old reached that milestone through a hard fought victory over Canada’s Milos Raonic; and the outcome of the tensed match was 6-4, 6-7 (2-7), 6-4.
Federer is only the third player from the modern era to have successfully achieved it, alongside Jimmy Connors and Ivan Lendl, though he remains the first player to do so since 1992.
With the Australian Open starting on Monday, this victory certainly provides a timely confidence boost, with Federer looking to triumph in the inaugural Grand Slam of the year.
Listed below is the breakdown of his hall of fame career.

Jimmy Connors (USA) 1253-278
