Kelantan FA’s adviser Tan Sri Annuar Musa has lashed out at the Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) and the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) for the their continuous woes.
In a series of Facebook postings, Tan Sri Annuar Musa explained that Kelantan FA (KAFA) have settled all their outstanding payments in terms of insurance and the Employee’s Provident Fund (EPF), and have obtained a letter of clearance.
He is baffled as to why FMLLP have not lifted their transfer ban on KAFA, so the latter can register their new import, Frenchman L’Imam Seydi.
He also blames FMLLP for “destroying” KAFA, as they will most possibly end up in the Premier League due to the transfer ban.
However, FMLLP has responded to the blatant accusations, and above all, FMLLP want KAFA to stop blaming them for KAFA’s financial fiasco.
“The expenses of a team and their failure to meet their obligations is not the fault of FAM or FMLLP — as only the team management decides how much they spend and when they fail it is not someone else’s fault.” FMLLP said in a statement.
“Also, the suggestion that Kelantan will be relegated due to the inability of the team management to replace one player undermines the fact that Kelantan’s strength has always been in their team spirit, die hard fans and commitment from all stakeholders involved in kelantan football.”
“Internationally clubs as big as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Athletico Madrid, Chelsea, Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, Portsmouth, AS Roma, Glasgow Rangers, Port Vale, Watford and many more have experienced transfer bans and restrictions for various reasons. This is not a new phenomenon in football.”
FMLLP imposed a transfer ban on KAFA early in May after the latter was pelted with accusations of failing to pay their former players and staffs.
