Kelantan’s explosive striker Mohammed Ghaddar has been voted in as PFAM-Asiana.my’s MSL Player of the Month for April, beating four other excellent candidates.
The Lebanese striker has been in scintillating form for the Red Warriors this season, but his record was particularly astounding in April where he bagged seven goals in four MSL matches, including the four he scored in their 5-1 win over Penang.
As a result, Ghaddar went into the voting period as the overwhelming favourite, and ended up receiving 55.45% of the votes, beating JDT’s Safiq Rahim (32.25%), Perak’s Hafiz Kamal (5.06%), Pahang’s Matheus Alves (3.77%) as well as T-Team’s Norhakim Hassan (3.07%).
Despite Kelantan being derailed by plenty of issues off the pitch, Ghaddar has been a complete revelation for the Kota Bharu based side. He has bagged a total of 18 goals in 11 matches this year, and has contributed 75% of Kelantan’s goals in the MSL alone. As a result, he has been actively linked with a move to reigning MSL champions JDT, when the second transfer window opens later this month.
