Own goals are never fun to watch. They can be funny, but you also know the amount of pressure that’s put on the person who scored the own goal – it’s never easy, it’s never nice.
But there are some own goals that doesn’t do anything but raise a crazy amount of eyebrows. And that’s precisely what happened in Ukraine this week, during a Persha Liga (Ukranian Second Division) clash between Obolon’-Brovar and Bukovyna.
While both sides are lingering in the middle of the league table, Bukovyna were still in danger of potentially being dragged into the relegation zone. And with three minutes on the clock and the score being 0-0, this happened.
If that doesn’t smell like match-fixing, we don’t know what else will….
