Terengganu based T-Team are looking to bolster their forward line with the signing of 30-year old striker, Mamadou Samassa.
Samassa is a French-born Malian football player of Senegalese descent who plays in the lead striker position. He used to play for France’s U-21 team, before switching over to his country of birth, Mali.
And now, the Malian is making his way to Malaysia as T-Team is set to ink a deal with him to reinforce their attack and to fulfil their import quota ahead of the Malaysia League (Liga M) this January.
“We need someone who can be aggressive in the centre and intense upfront.” said T-Team’s head coach, Rahmad Darmawan. “Samassa will be the right weapon we need for attack, especially when paired with another competent striker, Farhod Tadjidev from Uzbekistan.”
“If all goes well, he’ll arrive in Malaysia by tomorrow.” he added.
Prior to this, Samassa was playing for Italian club Pescara (2014), and then French club Brest (2014-2016).
Apart from Samassa, the Titans will also be testing two other foreign players, Ibrahima Sibede from Senegal and Shaukat Salamov from Uzbekistan to enhance the squad.
