Vietnam will be taking on Indonesia at the My Dinh Stadium Hanoi, Vietnam tonight for the second leg of AFF Suzuki Cup semi-finals.
Indonesia stunned Vietnam as they won first leg 2-1 at the Pakansari Stadium. Although Vietnam will be playing at home this time around, which gives them the advantage, they have to be wary of the Reds and Whites who are getting stronger with each game.
Neverthless, Vietnam is equally strong, with players like Nguyen Van Quyet and Le Cong Vinh.
“We are a strong side and we will have strong home support,” Vietnam’s head coach, Nguyen Huu Thang said.
“As we saw at the weekend, we know how good the Indonesian side are. They score a lot of goals but we are confident in our abilities. We have been playing well because we play as a team and that is what we will do.”
Thang also emphasised that they did have one away goal on their side, which is encouraging.
“The one away goal can be to our advantage when we play in Hanoi. The result was difficult to take, but we are confident we can win,” Nguyen told Vietnamnews.
