Ever since Tan Sri Annuar Musa voiced his intention to step down as the Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) President, he’s been facing a lot of disapproval.
Now, a former Kelantan player Yassin Mohd Noor has also voiced his disagreement and begged for Tan Sri Annuar Musa to return as KAFA’s president.
According to Yassin, the club still needs Annuar’s service and expertise as he is influential and can attract interest of sponsors next season. Yassin was Kelantan’s star in the 80s, he was part of the team during the Olympics in 1980.
Yassin doesn’t see anyone as competent as Annuar to take his place. “As of now, there is no one to take his place, no one with the ‘power’ to handle the finances in KAFA, or with the ability to look for sponsors and solve KAFA’s financial problems.”
“I support KAFA’s decision to get Tan Sri Annuar back in the club and help to prepare the team for the upcoming season.” Yassin said.
Another former Kelantan player, Afandi Yusuf, also spoke up against Annuar’s intention to resign. “No one can match up to Annuar’s contributions to the club. But if he really has to leave, I hope he will name a worthy successor for KAFA.”
“But, I still hope he will change his mind, because KAFA seems lost, as if without a captain on the ship.”
